Komorebi — 木漏れ日 — the Japanese word for light filtered through a canopy of leaves. It is considered worth naming in its own right.
The shade is hand-knitted, and its character comes from the weave. Warm light does not pass through evenly — it diffuses in layers, the way afternoon light moves through a latticed screen. The room does not become brighter. It becomes quieter.
